Counter Sales Representative

Location: Sedalia, MO

Bobcat of Sedalia is a full service Bobcat Dealership specializing in new, used, and rental compact excavators, skid steer loaders, and track loaders. We offer parts as well as both mobile and shop service.

Bobcat of Sedalia is seeking a Counter Sales Representative. If you have previous inventory/parts experience, have great customer service skills, and want to be a part of a growing team, apply today!

Responsibilities

  • Attending to walk in Customers and Inbound Calls - Obtain Contact information.

  • Identify customer’s application and assess their needs.

  • Direct to the appropriate sales rep when necessary.

  • Assist in the determination of parts and rental requirements for customers, selling parts / rentals and providing order processing services.

  • Maintain a clean in-store display and merchandise sales area

  • Present merchandise to customers with professional selling techniques

  • Assist in customer unit pick up and or delivery.

  • Communicate and manage all sales department needs with the other branch departments to ensure equipment is ready and is as represented to the customer.

  • Coordinate branch transfers to and from the branch.

  • Highly engaged team player working across all departments to support branch activities.

  • Handles inbound, unsolicited prospect calls or walk ins.

  • Assisting with warehouse functions during down time

  • Operates safely and follows all safety guidelines.

  • Operate within all rental policies and procedures of the company.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Excel in a high volume fast paced environment.

  • Creative problem solver.

  • Excellent customer relations skills.

  • Good computer and systems knowledge.

  • Working knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies.

  • Shown equipment knowledge.

  • Product knowledge including features and benefits knowledge of all equipment sold.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • High School diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate construction equipment.

  • Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 50-100 pounds and/or frequently lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 20-50 pounds and/or continuous lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling 10-20 pounds

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, grasp or pull and lift objects. Occasionally required to sit, climb and balance, kneel, stoop, couch, and crawl.

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions, fumes, and loud noise.

  • Hearing and speaking to exchange information.
